Comfortably sit in your dorm room and make your own profile using these 5 simple steps.
1. Register on the Student Sign Up Page
Signing up is easier than filling out a job application. All students have to do is enter their first and last name, any e-mail address of their choosing, and the university they are attending. After all that information has been entered, check the box that confirms you are currently enrolled in college, enter your birthday, and click submit.
2. You’ve been verified!
If you’ve made it to this page, you just took the first step into a door of endless possibilities. So, go ahead, create a password, type in your number, and select your graduation year and major.
3. Welcome to University Beyond.
Don’t quit, you’re almost done. Complete your profile. Filling out your profile is key. Your profile is used as your job application. This is what companies see when they are searching for potential interns and student ambassadors. Take your time and make sure everything contained in your profile is coherent. Watch for punctuation and grammar mistakes. Nothing turns off hiring managers more than someone who doesn’t pay attention to detail.
4. Completing your profile
We want to help you land a job or an internship in a field that you’re really interested in. Maybe you’re interested in entertainment & leisure or venture capitalism, it does matter. Check off as many boxes that describe what your interests are. Next, employers want college students who stand out. Select an activity that you partake in on campus and write down a brief description of what you do with your student group. Now, it’s time for you to show off! We want see your work experience! Don’t be worried, if you don’t have any, that’s okay, that’s why you’re signing up. Plus, the next two pages are all about you, pitch yourself to potential employers by mentioning everything that makes you a hot commodity and upload the best professional picture you have. 5. Finally, search for jobs!
You’ve completed your profile and now you’re ready to go! It must feel good, huh? You’re prepared to apply for the long list of jobs we have to offer. We knew you could do it. Now get out there and show those companies what you’re all about!
